Who is this camp for?
Let me read your mind for a second. – My guess is you’re much more comfortable with eighth-note and sixteenth-note grooves than with shuffles, swing, 6/8, or 12/8 feels. I get it—I was exactly the same. Whether triplets already feel like home or you’ve been avoiding them for years, this camp is designed for you. If you’re already into triplet vocabulary, you’ll discover fresh ideas and new ways to apply what you know. And if this has always felt like a weak spot, you’ll be amazed how quickly it can become one of your strengths through focused immersion.
Why triplets matter
Some of the most expressive and musical ideas on the drums are triplet-based. A deep shuffle. A greasy hip-hop groove. A swinging jazz ride pattern. A powerful 12/8 feel. They’re all built on the same rhythmic language. The ability to move naturally between straight and triplet subdivisions doesn’t just expand your vocabulary—it changes the way you feel time. It gives your playing more depth, flexibility, and musicality, no matter what style you play. For me personally, learning this language transformed my playing, and it continues to influence everything I do behind the kit.
What this will do for your playing
By the end of the camp, you’ll leave with far more than a collection of licks.
You’ll have a broader rhythmic vocabulary, greater confidence moving between subdivisions, and a much deeper understanding of pulse and feel.
Because triplets are such a fundamental part of drumming, strengthening this area has a remarkable side effect: your overall timing, subdivision, and rhythmic awareness improve—even when you’re playing completely straight grooves.
Many drummers are surprised by how much their entire playing levels up simply because this foundation becomes stronger.
Why learn it at a camp?
could you learn this out of books or online? sure – But spending several days completely immersed in one topic, playing together, asking questions, receiving feedback, and sharing the experience with passionate drummers from all over the world creates a completely different kind of learning.
The atmosphere is friendly, supportive, and non-competitive. Everyone is there to grow, encourage one another, and enjoy making music together.

The camp will be held in the beautiful Musikakademie Hammelburg. The participants and I, Benny, will live and eat there together (accommodations and catering are INCLUDED in the drum camp fee).
Please bring a snare stand, sticks and your bass drum pedal.
